Meet Our Team
Dr. Kevin Keller
Dr. Keller is the founding physician for Upstate Plastic Surgery where he has been since 1998. He has spent his career caring for both reconstruction and cosmetic patients. His major focus has been with surgical management of aesthetic needs. While surgery was the priority, he continued to provide injectable treatments and medium and deep chemical peels. He has decided to stop surgery which required him to leave Upstate Plastic Surgery. He is very excited to start a new adventure in noninvasive aesthetic medicine. Augusta Road Aesthetics will be the springboard for this second career. He will be focusing on aesthetic results that can be obtained by chemical peels and treatments. He will continue to be involved in all aspects of the noninvasive treatments and continue to develop a true Center for Aesthetic Medicine.
Chris Hamby, NP
Chris came to Upstate Plastic Surgery in 2003 where she was a circulating nurse in the operating room. She then moved to work with Dr. Keller where she assisted him in surgery and patient care. She obtained her Registered Nurse First Assist while in that position. Chris later went back to school and obtained her Bachelors and Masters in Nursing still while working for Dr. Keller. That was not enough so she then went back to obtain her nurse practitioner certification. Chris was personal assistant to Dr. Keller for twelve years and during that time gained unmeasurable knowledge of plastic surgery and aesthetic medicine. Dr. Keller acted as one of her preceptors and spent that time educating her in injection techniques. Chris has been working for a little more than a year in urgent care and is excited to return to aesthetic specialty. She will now be available for injectables but also detailed skin care plans along with laser treatments. Her many years of experience with Dr. Keller makes it a natural fit. She will be the supervising nurse practitioner at Augusta Road Aesthetics.
Louisa Adair, RN
Louisa began her nursing career as an Intensive Care nurse at Spartanburg Regional Hospital. After several years of critical care, she began to work with Dr. Keller on a part-time basis in 1999 and by 2000 she was full-time where she has worked since. Her main responsibilities have been to develop and maintain the skin care center and has been instrumental in adapting the program for patient needs and keep it current. Louisa was able to bring her detail care she learned in the ICU to her work with skin care to provide the safest treatments available. Her ability to recognize potential problems and resolve them gives her great skill in providing care to her patients. She over the past twenty plus years has become an expert in laser treatment as well. She will continue to provide these areas of expertise with detailed and specific skin regimen plans but in addition she will use knowledge gained from her many years in aesthetic medicine to move her into a position to also provide injectables. Dr. Keller has personally worked with her, and she will be a great asset to our team with all her many skills.
Noelle Monteleone, Aesthetician
Noelle Monteleone is one of our amazing aestheticians at Augusta Road Aesthetics! We knew we were missing something but until she joined us, we didn’t realize just how much we needed her. Noelle has a long history with aesthetics beginning as a model and make-up artist. In 1996 she found her passion when she became a certified aesthetician and began to work in the field. Over the years she has been a forward thinker and has never stopped in the pursuit of additional education and training. Since the beginning she has tirelessly pursued her career and has added numerus training certifications from laser, chemical peels, skin care and even 3-D areolar tattooing for those women faced with breast reconstruction.
Noelle has extensive knowledge of skin health and products that can be successfully used to battle both the effects of time and age. Please call and make an appointment to meet her and if you are one of her previous patients please come join us here at Augusta Road Aesthetics you will love it.
Melissa Owens, Aesthetician
Melissa is the newest member of the Augusta Road Aesthetics team. She obtained her esthetics license in 2007 and began working immediately. For the past ten years, she has worked in the medical aesthetics field and has gained extensive knowledge and experience in many areas of aesthetic medicine. One aspect of aesthetics that Melissa particularly enjoys is the educational opportunities. She loves learning about all that the aesthetics industry has to offer and has a particular interest in product science. In addition to her laser and chemical peel certifications, Melissa is an EPA certified “SunWise” educator. She has also obtained certifications from the prestigious esthetics educator Pastiche in corneotherapy (focused skin treatment methodology with core principle being the repair and maintenance of the skin barrier defense system) and understanding wound healing. Melissa’s co-workers and patients say that she is “passionate about her patients and how she cares for them.” They appreciate her in-depth product knowledge and the peaceful space she provides that puts patients at ease.
Though Melissa is not originally a native of South Carolina she moved to the Blue Ridge area as a child and considers herself a southerner and the upstate her home. Melissa has a heart for kids and has served in youth and children’s ministry at her church for over 15 years.
